 Specialist Security Achieve ACS! 20/12/2010  Security services provider, Specialist Security Co. Ltd has completed the next stage in its development in becoming accepted onto the Security Industry Authority’s (SIA) prestigious Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS). The Cardiff based firm has successfully obtained Quality Certification ISO 9001:2008 and security screening standard BS 7858:2006 which enabled it to ‘fast track’ through the stringent ACS approval process.
Specialist Security Co. Ltd is now one of only a few private Welsh security firms which have SIA accreditation, and the ACS is widely recognised as the benchmark for the highest industry standards. Approval onto the scheme will facilitate obtaining public sector and commercial contracts and the company is now looking to target these growth markets to add to its steadily increasing client base. The firm recruited 20 extra staff in October 09 bringing the total number of full time employees up to 80, and it has continued to show strong signs of growth despite the economic downturn.

Specialist Security Co. Ltd provides a 24hr support service including SIA licensed and fully trained, uniformed static guards and mobile patrols, and CCTV remote monitoring and alarm systems. The company is also registered with CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Scheme) and Constructionline, the UK’s largest register for pre-qualified contractors.
